I can remember an incident at my Doctors clinic about 20 years ago, I had been sitting in his waiting room for about 15 minutes, and watching a large tank of fish, when he took my blood pressure, he got one hell of a surprise and asked me what I hade been doing, when I told him just watching his Gold fish, he said “that will do it every time.”

Sorry, my blood pressure was much lower than it had been for years, and he hadn’t put me on any medication for it.

I was working in one radio station where they had an aquarium in the corner of the studio (Why? Don’t know.) Let me tell you, though, I was anything but relaxed one afternoon as I watched the other fish gang up on one which was slowly being eaten alive. It made it a bit hard to concentrate on the ads I had to read, along with the other stuff I had to say during the course of the program.

The doctor has obviously never had his wife yelling at him saying “Every time we need to go out you’re cleaning those bloody fish tanks. What do you mean you bought new fish? you’ve already got five tanks WTF are you going to do with another one? Stop complaining about the power bill, all your fish tanks are the reason it’s so high.”

Fish tanks can definitely help to raise blood pressure :)
