I have no idea how many eggs – a big heap! First there was 1 duck then there were 2 and then 3 and now sometimes 4. I have been out some mornings when they were only laying – all lined up across the Igloo watching me but by time I got camera they had gone. I was able to get some photos yesterday morning. The morning before 3 got off before I could and after I sat patiently 2 of the 3 eventually returned to the nests.

Hard to get a pic of all as not a lot of room back to the fence when I can sit and Igloo entrance narrows. Might have another go tomorrow – still lot to learn about camera settings.

Uhmm that is a question I will soon have to deal with! 34 older ones, 3 in brooder a day older than this lot of 23 – had to take a pic to count them! Lizzie the Dark Campbell still has one egg – don’t know if or when it will hatch…

yep + 3 still in Igloo then. All out now :) Damn crows eyeing them so think I need to do a pen shuffle and consolidate older ducklings so this extended family will be safe in a fully meshed pen connected to the shed.

The move will be fun -NOT.
