Six one way, half a dozen the other.
What’s better, Ford or Holden, Makita or DeWalt, Samsung or Apple, Abu Garcia or Okuma?
They’re both make excellent cameras. When I bought Mrs T’s D600, it beat the equivalent Nikon by more than $100. That was the decider for me.
+1
Buy whichever one you can pick up and use without thinking about it .
If you’re used to Canon I suspect you’ll find them easier to use.
The old adage of,
Do I want it? If so, why?
Do I need it? If so why?
Can I afford it? If so, how?
does come first. If No then don’t buy it.
Next comes; Will it fit my requirements. Do I like the feel of it etc.
Personally unless the design is clunky and it doesn’t fit your hand and usage requirements, they are all good. Similar to a car. If it works and is registerable, has four wheels. It is as good as any other car.
So whether you have been used to using a certain brand or not, should not necessarily be applicable because you are looking to buy a new camera. You don’t have/want the old one or you would have no need to be buying a new one.
