One last thing before I go.

http://www.masterofhealth.com.au/collections/gems-crystals-stones/products/crystal-cage-rose-quartz-love-enhancer

From the above link:

“Rose Quartz is the stone of love, also known as a heart stone. It helps heal emotional wounds and pain and is gentle and calming.”

This one item, as an example of one random one I’ve opened on the site. I’m wondering if there’s any proof behind any of this crap having any positive effects as suggested? I guess it’s the similar sort of thing to Himalayan salt lamps – do they actually release negative ions, and does it have any effect?

Of course it works.

If you believe it does.

FWIW, I have a huge chunk of rose quartz in my backyard. It was given as a gift. The person who gave it to me was very serious about crystals and advised against bringing them into the house immediately.

I remember seeing a doco about salt and iodine. many of the mountain salts are low in iodine which is essential for healthy brain development in kids. Sea salt is much better and IMO this Himalayan salt whether it’s in a lamp ( FFS) or in your diet, is hippy dippy bullshit .

That’s what I was thinking.

I’m not convinced with the negative ions thing.

Salt lamps look good with lights in them.
