About those thrips wrecking your roses.. there must be a plague of the damn things..I went outside with a white shirt on and got covered with them, itchy itchy. The citrus blossom is thick with them too.

When I want a haircut, I want it now too!
Actually I like to be able to make most of my appointments almost straight away – but rarely can…By the time the appointments come around I often am not in the mood – and end up postponing or cancelling them – so many “check up” type things are now overdue.

I get my hair cut at Just Cuts for just that reason. I have very short hair and I like it very short. One day it’ll be fine and the next it’ll be driving my bonkers. I don’t want to ring up and make an appointment for next week, I want an appointment RIGHT NOW. For that reason I love Just Cuts. I don’t mind going for a wander around the shopping centre for 20 or 30 minutes, as long as I can get my hair cut TODAY.
Just need to find a local beautician with the same approach. My legs are about 3 weeks overdue for a wax. Figured I’d leave them alone while they were hivey ;) Now they REALLY need attacking (before they start attacking ;)
Got my office sweeps for the race. I haven’t a clue what’s what. A horse is a horse, but the sweep is more a social thing than a betting thing. Got Profound beauty, Varevees, and Master O’reilly. I’ll have to find a colour lift out and find the colour of their silks ‘cause I haven’t a clue.
Just about lunch time. Wading through graffiti legislation at the moment. Looking forward to the race ‘cause I’ve had enough of graffiti and legislation is such thrilling stuff ;-)
My chances of getting an appointment today were bretty much nil anyway, in fact I’ll be lucky if I get one this week.
There’s only two hairdressers where I go and one’s off on maternity leave.
I don’t want to change though. This pair have a very loyal following, as much for their personallity as their skill. Every visit is a party, people going past often just drop in for a chat and women with their hair half finished run next door to the coffee shop while they’re waiting. It’s a bit of a hoot really. :)
The three horses that I’d never heard of that I had in the sweep were beaten by three other horses that I’d never heard. I’ve had a glass of cheap bubbles and now I have to pretend to work all afternoon. I think I need an astounding amount of water in the next hour or so!
Hope lunch is going well for all those who were attending.
I handed over my $10 this morning for 3 cup sweeps but as I work part time at the moment I don’t even know which horses I had. I could be rolling in it and not even know until tomorrow. Actually I think I’ll be rolling in the proverbial …. ;/ ;)
had a lovely time at Thee’s. Good food and good company. Got to bring home some plants and cuttings too. Feel like a nap now. lol!
We’re home now too, and both of us feel sleepy lol. Lovely day with great company, full tummies and some garden goodies :D
Stopped at eldest girls on the way home to collect Max, he had fun digging up her bare garden patch, unearthing big ‘bugs’ ..the same ones she rang me in a panic about.. curl grubs..she put them in a bag for my chooks lol. I will go there tomorrow with some cuttings and plant out her little garden for her.
Hubby and I can’t quite believe we have a whole evening with no kids..what to do ,what to do lol, just relaxing taking in the peace :)

the red flowering gums are starting to flower so i’ll try to get a photo of the huge one over at parra wirra that you once requested to see in flower.
