Subject: behavioural output during motivational change

is there a class or category of motivation which might be characterized as tending to output behaviour while the motivation is changing, consequently obscuring what initiated the motivation, rendering analysis of the orders of intentionality involved more difficult.

Are you thinking like how it’s the change in sensory input (such as the sight of an approaching door) that triggers changes in muscular movement (towards the opening door)? Or are you thinking of something more subtle than that?

Subtle’s not really my thing

Start with something simple, like you think something, then you write it and post it here, is your motivation the same the moment you press send as it was previous when the thought resided in you head unshared.

You’re the subtlest person I know. I’ll think it over and get back to you.

to some extent

by externalising a thought it can be honed and reduced into a concrete logic , writing was the beginning

the written word was developed as the thought was externalised

I see. This really brings in the different types of motivation. Typical motivations for posting here might include:
. Desire to teach
. Desire to turn a transient idea into a permanent searchable record
. Boredom
. Knee jerk reaction
. Desire to flaunt intelligence
. Empathy and sympathy

Changes during posting would include changes among the motivations above as well as:
. Suppression of thoughts that would be offensive
