I have heard of this before, I think it is great! Only I don’t have enough time for my own garden let alone anywhere else.

They had instructions on making seeds bombs which is great as I was thinking it would be good if we get our own property to use them for starting any revegetation we might want to do. For those who don’t know what a seed bomb is, you mix some mixed seed, compost and clay together with a little bit of water and roll into small balls and dry. Then you chuck them anywhere you want to seeds to grow. The balls disintegrate in the sun and rain and then provide the starting medium for the seeds to grow. You would use a mix of tree and undergrowth native seeds.

planting the seed would be easier – but then again guerillas must have bombs – chuckle.

it has been on tv
the idea is – a group of gardeners/greenies get together and plant out waste land (unused land in the cities). this is illegal – but a greener city is a good idea.

they make them to chuck in areas they can’t access :) to plant seed you have to dig in the ground – this is a way of doing that without the digging.

in the case of the guerrilla gardener the land may be fenced off. in my case it would be because I would be too lazy to walk to lots of spots if I can just throw some balls from one spot. Or if I am looking at a large area I could throw them from a vehicle.
