Okay people i need some inspiration to build a Frog/Fish pond at home. Anyone have some good links or pictures of theirs to get me started. I did look at the Index part of this forum under Aquaponics but it is empty

Hi Rook—just make sure that it is deep enough so as it doesn’t let the water get to hot—also have to make sure that the concrete—if thats what you are using is cured enough—I am sure that others will have other ideas as well

Hi Rook,

I haven’t started on mine yet, but Josh Byrne’s Green Gardener book has nice photos and illustrations of his, and talks you through how he made it and why he did it the way he did.

Here are some GA links that might help:

these are my two old reused pressed metal baths – installed level on sand and then stoned in with rubble and topped with reused slate.
they support fish in one and frogs in the other.

nice ponds Pepe. simple/calmative visuals + great use for a old bathtub. just the right depth for frogs. i’ve seen a few frog habitats but, they were mostly imitating nature too much and ended up busy looking.
an idea i’m mostly just toying with (and probably won’t eventuate) is a cascade of flowforms….not for frogs of course.
