I guess it is trigonometry. What it is is elementary. Without anything beyond grade 8 knowledge you could work it out from symmetry.

Not difficult at all. All you have to do is look at the angle. It’s obviously a lot bigger than 36 and a lot smaller than 72.

Or. Sum of external angles of a polygon add to 360 degrees, so that’s 2*360/12 = 360/6 = 60.
