And NZ’s new chum is in.
McCullum out!
I’m colour blind and I’m having trouble picking up the pink ball on TV (it’s on channel 9 not GEM today).
It looks bright blurry fluro pink.
The Kiwis are having trouble seeing it as well.
They’ll have to call the game off.
I’m finding it easier to see than the red ball.
If you’re colour blind, how did you get to play for Australia?
I can’t play the game because of my poor colour vision.

Well it wasn’t easy.
The ex keeper, Wade, was on the ABC talking about how he’d like to get back in the Australian side and how the pink ball was all blurry because he’s colour blind, I mean sometimes he just need to keep his mouth shut.

And they aren’t even into the dusk.
Aren’t colourblind people usually red/green colour blind. Meaning seeing the traditional red ball would be more difficult.

The red ball appears out of nowhere for me, about a metre in front of my head. Not good. I think the pink ball is somewhat easier to see on the TV, anyway.

early stage of stress fracture for Starc.
He might bat if required but won’t bowl again this match. Must be in doubt for Boxing Day test too.

Would improve the game if more emphasis was put on medium pace and spinners. Fast bowling is dangerous for both sides and boring to a large degree for the spectators. It wastes a lot of time between balls as well.

tbh.. Warnie was the start of spin bowlers being entertaining… Before him, all the ‘interesting’ cricketers were fast bowlers…

of course they were. but as players, they were quite boring at the time, it was only after their cricket career that they became the stars that they are

It was probably only after bodyline that fast bowlers became the norm, which in turn made spinners more difficult to face?

yeah, but a spin bowler has never had a following like someone like Merv Hughes and bay 13 at the MCG…
‘e plays better with a broken foot
Cricket having a “dinner” break, dearie me. Mark Taylor must be rolling in his grave.
Does a day/night test last one third more hours compared to a normal test?
It is a pity that Sartner didn’t not debut earlier in the series, it would have been good to see a four Mitch match.

Yeah, apparently.
The legally blind third umpire is Pom.
From all comments on all sides, though, I haven’t heard anyone say it wasn’t fkn obviously out.
I think there should be a backup panel of about ten umpires who can rule on anything at any time on any available evidence, sitting with buzzers some where. … if they unanimously vote to overrule a decision then that’s that. Just to get rid of these embarrassing cases where a shit decision has to stand because of some technical limitation.

So much for pathos
niece disappointed, she was to play milo cricket in the breaks tomorrow
+a lot of pro crickets started in milo cricket all reckoned it’s marvelous what a difference milo makes.
Close enough for you?
Despite the commentator’s claims of success for the format, I think that we’ll need to see a few more like it without tricked up wickets.
And a serious probe or 3.

Still, it would have been a walkover if they hadn’t been robbed by the umpire.

Supposedly this was the biggest day’s attendance at a non-Adhes test match at Adelaide evah.

I’d believe that, it looks like a fantastic venue now since the redevelopment. It was a case of “build it and they will come”.
Can’t wait till the new Perth Stadium is finished, and ordinary members of the general public will be allowed a seat in the shade.

What if you take one of the Chaps to the cricket as a quid pro quo for signing the Bently Contract and a member of the general public comes and sits beside the chap?
No that wont do, that wont do at all.
I think they should have a fenced off area for the MGP, poor blighters, it’s their blood lines you see but there are a damn lot of them
Still you cant have them staggering around late in the day spilling their warm beer in plastic cups onto pinstripe suits and chundering in the toilets.
It’s like Kamal’s left hand, it’s not right and it’s not fair.
It wont do.
