I thought we weren’t allowed to wish people a Merry Christmas any more? At least that’s what my dumbfuck redneck arsehole friends would have us believe.
Because… Sharia Law…
When did they sneak sharia law in?

Merry Christmas everyone.
Where have you been droppy? Not seen you here in ages.
I have a rellie staying with me who works for a US company and they are specifically banned from having a “Christmas Party” but they are allowed to have a “Winter Festival Party” WTF????
to me it doesn’t matter what they call it, a party is a party. of course now that i am older and more sensible i don’t go to parties.

yeah, I think the confuffle and crap is more US based. I have never heard anyone in Australia complain. I wished a musilm merry christmas the other day (we have a number of musilm families at our school) and she just wished me it back, didn’t bat an eyelid.
Yes. Many Muslims live as Australians.
I find it intriguing that so many atheists get so upset when other people try to change the name of Christmas to Festivus or Midwinter/Midsummer Festival or Holiday season. I can see Christians getting upset over it (which incidentally makes the Americans’ insistence that it not be called Christmas all the more intriguing), but atheists?
Anyway, happy Xmas everybody. May a fat judgemental Communist get stuck in your chimney.

They are the moderate muslims. They’d still prefer that you became muslim too but they are more tolerant of your choice because a good muslim should be.

Mrs SS and Ipick a charity each to donate to at xmas.
Mine is usually city mission (put away $2/week and donate presents to their toy drive)
Mrs SS likes to be involved in the shelter meals for xmas (hasn’t for the last 2 due to health and moving) so we’re off to help out the xmas feast for the lower socio-economic types at the RSL club this evening

Merry Christmas to everyone here :)
My Dad wandered up the hill to share breakfast with us this morning. Lunch was at my brother’s a little further up the road with 12 or so other family members.. Some a little worse for wear after their night out :)
We started with a lovely 42 degrees south bubbly then a Frenchman’s Cap (both Tas bubbles), CS opened a La Sirene Praline darkish beer which a couple of non beer drinkers decided was actually ‘ok’ :) I’m thinking that the other bottle of 42 degrees south needs to be opened very shortly :D
Weather has been very pleasant imo… light breeze running through the house at the moment and it’s a gorgeous 24 degrees right now. Will take Chilli for a wander along the beach and river a little later on..
I do hope everyone has had a pleasant day :D
I want my Christmas rain!! But it really doesn’t look like I’m going to get it…..
