Growing in my main garden (about 3m x 3m) at the moment
four types of tommie toes; two with fruit
cucumbers with fruit
silverbeet
pakchoy
spring onions; store bought bunch and seedlings
beans
cabbages with plum sized fruit
broccoli with marble sized fruit
caulis, not sure if there’s fruit or not
lettuce
capsicum
rhubarb
celery
watermelon
basil

In my big industrial tubs:
carrots
pumpkin
2 colours of zuchini; with several fruit
rockmelon

In seperate pots
strawberries
potatoes

In the herb pot
parsley; curly & Italian
chives; garlic and plain
rosemary
oregano
basil
mint
dill

Seedlings in jiffy pots
silverbeet
beetroot
capsicum (forgot I’d planted these when I bought the seedlings I planted yesterday)
cucumber (no shoots yet; still hoping)
Corn (ditto)
cat grass

Planted in a small patch down the back yard
pumpkin
rockmelon
zuchini
one stray self planted tomato

Being eaten at the moment
all the herbs when I remember
carrots about as big as your little finger; and I doubt we’ll see them get bigger before we finish them
cucumbers
pakchoy
silverbeet
store bought spring onions

Whew! I think I’m doing okay ;-) for a first timer taking it slow and steady LOL. The others are getting sick of me at dinner time. “I grew this” “Did you know that I grew that?” “Hey, that comes from garden”. I guess every mouthful is a little tiresome, but I’m so darn proud. The majority of last night’s dinner came from our yard. And I think that’s pretty darn impressive! Even if it was a simple meal.

looks fantastic suebk.
you really are a success.
trouble is all our lists look fantastic – so there’s something about lists that exaggerate the good – go lists.
