updating peoples computers and you still cannot scan peoples computers for compatible drivers
especially network card and wifi network drivers
so after all the hype and ads and pop ups on the disk top I updated the laptop and now windows 10 but with no network card friver and no wifi driver

I was going to put it off a bit longer
I will on the desktop nowmaybe there is some “3rd party app” that can do a compatible win 10 driver scan
the drivers are pretty easy to find with a quick search.

yeah well if the drivers are so easy to find the win 10 should scan for the drivers and down load them for later
I will buy a win 10 wifi dongle
use that to look for win 10 drivers for the network and wifi card in the laptop
I do have a program called Driver Toolkit, once only payment (they are others but some require yearly subscription)
once it has internet connection it should find them
the update itself went fine
files are still there
desktop is still the same
CN do you know what to do when an installed driver has a setting that won’t change? I have a Via audio card with 24 bit 96khz output. It also has a 3d audio setting that cuts out 96khz access when enabled. It goes through the process of turning it off but doesn’t disable.

the card might have updated firmware available
Id look around their website for support, forums, firmware updates

Done that but it seems to be missing there. I think it is linked to my running a Nvidia card with 3d effects but I haven’t found anyway to get info on it yet.

keep looking around, other people must have encountered similar issues
maybe do a registry scan for via and see if any switches can be manually performed
it seems a likely solution would be a firmware update or driver update to sort it

WIndows 10 is very user friendly, thanks to a couple of patches released.
