We are all made of atomic particles.
we move around in electrochemical bodies
on a chemical planet made of atomic particles

atomic articles don’t die,
they continue to exist
in an expanding universe

thats something to wonder about

One cannot control the whole.

Something else to wonder about.

There were at least six Battle of Britain pilots left as of September last year, maybe more.

Just looked up the Commando comics on wiki and was surprised to find that they are still going.

This bit tickled my fancy:

“In June 2013, it was announced that Commando Comics, whilst still owned by D C Thomson based in Dundee, would now be printed by GGP Media in Germany.”

Two Men Went to War

Two Men Went to War is a 2002 British film based on a true World War II story, from Raymond Foxall’s book Amateur Commandos which describes the adventures of two army dental corps soldiers who sneak off on their own personal invasion of France. The film was directed by John Henderson.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_King_%28British_Army_officer%29

King was so frustrated that he and another soldier, Pte Leslie Cuthbertson, then 20 and from Newcastle-upon-Tyne took matters in their own hands; they planned and executed an unofficial and unauthorised raid on occupied France.

In April 1942, the two men stole weapons and grenades and also a motor-boat from the south west of England. They landed in France, where they attempted to cut a railway line using a hand grenade, among other activities. After three days, King and Cuthbertson stole a French motor boat to return to England. This failed and they were adrift in the Channel for twelve days until picked up by an Air Sea Rescue Service launch. They were initially treated as spies.
