I’ve read about this before. One of the only exceptions is if the mother is HIV positive.

Mrs SS says there has been discussions about swapping thee mother’s vagina and swaddling the newborn with the swab for a while now, but nothing has really come of it yet

They can grow vaginas now, so swapping is possible, but I would imagine they would want to keep them.
