For a modern split sytem air-con is there a significant cost saving if set to 26c rather than the recommended 24?

you could monitor the compressor time, make some adjustments for outdoors ambient variations, and go from there.

If you get a firm answer let me know. I’ve been wondering how much it would cost to cool a person using an air conditioner mounted in a spacesuit.

Interesting, so using air conditioning in Brisbane costs about the same as driving a car. When living in Brisbane, I didn’t have air conditioning, I just learnt to love sweat., but that doesn’t answer the original question.
