Doesn’t seem obscene at all. Each of those drugs could benefit hundreds of millions of people, costing a few dollars per person. Seems like money very well spent.

Spending 3.8 billion dollars on a football team. That’s obscene. Spending 2.4 billion dollars for a single B-2 stealth bomber? Now that’s obscene.
