Buggerdammit. Must have hit something that I shouldn’t.

Anyway here goes.

Does anybody out there happen to have any old sheet music for keyboard/piano that they would be willing to part with for a modest sum of money.

I went to buy some at a music store and the prices they are asking took my breath away.

I don’t care if the sheets are old, just as long as they can be read.

I’ll pay postage and the price you ask.

Have you looked on line? There’s a program I downloaded once that “reads” sheet music, and you can print out hard copies. Can’t remember the cost, but I think it was a per song price, or some things you could buy ‘per album’. I remember thinking at the time it was about 1/2 the price of buying the same music from a shop.

Also try op shops or 2nd hand book stores. I’ve picked up some stuff in the past. Used to have this great book of popular songs. Think it was printed in the 70s so it was all old stuff. Great stuff. My guess is though that the termites got it :-(( Certainly isn’t at dad’s any more.

What kind of music are you looking at? Classical? Pop tunes / musicals? I also have a book with things like “The Robin’s Return” and “Sweet bye and bye”…

I’m into any type of musid D. I’ve played it all at some stage in my life except maybe heavy metal and more recent rock stuff. I originaly learnt classical and ventured into pop when I was a teenager. I was a teenager late 60’s early 70’s so that gives you an idea of my era.
