The Laws Of Cosmology May Need A Re-Write

Something’s up in cosmology that may force us to re-write a few textbooks. It’s all centred around the measurement of the expansion of the Universe, which is, obviously, a pretty key part of our understanding of the cosmos.

Yes, it’s all looking more complicated than it seemed in the Classic Big Bang days.

> The current “standard model” not only needs a re-write, it can be pretty much discarded. It has shown to have little or no predictive value. Current observations constantly contradict the findings predicted by this gravity-based model.

Absolute bullshit.

First COBE, then WMAP, and now Planck and Baryon Acoustic Oscillation (BAO) studies have provided exact confirmation of the “standard model” of the big bang.

To remind you, the standard model consists solely of the sum of “Newton’s laws”, the “Friedmann Equation” from 1922, “slow roll Inflation” from 1982, and the “Lambda CDM” equations combining cold dark matter from 1982 and Einstein’s cosmological constant from 1917.

Current observations consistently confirm the standard model of cosmology out to the limit of measurement accuracy.
