there really isn’t a lot you can do… because like you said, the bank will find out eventually…

it would probably be best to move the money into a high yielding, immediately liquidable investment held by an alternative financial institution…

that way the bank in error has no transparency on how much you make on the investment, but you can repay the amount instantly if required…

I lean toward an error requiring human involvement. If a computer makes it’s own decision it is a sign of AI and possibly the involved machine has discounted any one else’s right to those moneys.

I think the Money Market does short term borrowings (overnight or 24 hrs). However once you withdraw the deposited money from your bank, it is technically theft.
