Emotion detector could reveal if a date really finds you attractive: Is this the kind of world we actually want?
An emotion detector which, potentially, can tell whether a person really finds you attractive on a first date has been created by researchers at Lancaster University.
The inspiration for the device came from a gadget featured in the 1982 sci-fi fantasy film, Blade Runner, starring Harrison Ford and directed by Ridley Scott.

So when you say created you actually mean a non functional model has been 3d printed to prompt conversation about future applications.
I don’t know why people get outraged about computers that are said to ‘manipulate our minds’ our minds get manipulated every day. By colours and smells and other people.

So you managed to display all the sub-headings under disgust(disapproval disappointed, awful, avoidance) to crazy’s reaction to your authoritarian response to his thread, in Anger with only 2 of it’s components being ‘frustrated/threatened’ and one of Fearful being ‘humiliated’.
I say not a measured response but meh. The question might be how is this a measured response if it is and what are alternatives?

Frustrated is opposed by proud with Important and ‘confident’ as components
Threatened by Intimate with ‘playful/sensitive’ components
Humiliated is a little more interesting. It is opposed directly by Bored with ‘apathetic/indifferent’ components which is defined between Loneliness and Optimism.

dv vaguely referenced your return to previous subjects of seeming dead end. the diagram provides a person who has experienced repression of their self expression to at least comprehend the point they get lost at. This does not provide the second nature type familiarity that one in this position might be seeking to mirror their social environment more functionally but it can lead to this with follow through of investigation.
