An emotion detector which, potentially, can tell whether a person really finds you attractive on a first date has been created by researchers at Lancaster University.

The inspiration for the device came from a gadget featured in the 1982 sci-fi fantasy film, Blade Runner, starring Harrison Ford and directed by Ridley Scott.

Threatened by Intimate with ‘playful/sensitive’ components

Humiliated is a little more interesting. It is opposed directly by Bored with ‘apathetic/indifferent’ components which is defined between Loneliness and Optimism.

Look at what is directly obvious anything of particular familiarity to you and the opposing dynamic is sometimes pretty revealing.

as well as what is either side of the familiar equation and how they lead away to the rest.

dv vaguely referenced your return to previous subjects of seeming dead end. the diagram provides a person who has experienced repression of their self expression to at least comprehend the point they get lost at. This does not provide the second nature type familiarity that one in this position might be seeking to mirror their social environment more functionally but it can lead to this with follow through of investigation.

the heart beat is detected as the face changes colour with each heart beat

our eyes don’t register the colour change – a machine does

I’m not sure if dilation can be detected accurately

it might detect a stare at an interesting face

I thought at the time that the person who would use such a device is almost certainly going to be a sociopath.

simply explained it measures the clock speed and processing power of the robot scanning the robot classifieds
