Has anyone been to see the movie “Australia” or knows of anyone who has seen it????
Out of 10 …with 10 being the best…how was it rated????
Thinking of going to see it at the cinema. My neighbour won tickets and said it was sh*t.
It didn’t get a good report by the Green Guide critic.

Newspapers are saying its a flop in USA
Heard some good reports by local reviewers. One comment was that a lot of UK & USA reviewers don’t like Nicole. Local reviews I’ve heard thought she was wonderful, but apparently she got slammed overseas.
I was going to go tonight, but we chickened out as it’s so long (2 hours 45 minutes)
I don’t really care if it’s any good or not… Hugh getting his shirt off is enough for me :D
I’d probably rather watch old Paul Kelly videos
because it’s supposed to be both a movie and an advertisement for australia, (i’ve heard) that the movie is quite cliche. in terms of promoting australia for holiday makers, it’s bad luck in timing, with the economic downturn.

With the amount of publicity and spin from various sources I would guess it as being a flop.although I have been known to be wrong…………….AL

well I give it a 4 from the excerps I saw. Too long to be sitting there for a movie about nothing much.
Its been canned everywhere but here and Darwin apparently thinks its theirs :)

So does the North Queensland town of Bowen as quite a bit of it was shot there…
Well I finally got to see it today. I really enjoyed it, it has a great cast and the story line is quite strong. I must agree about Nicole’s acting at the beginning though – she overdid the prim and proper madam well and truly. I’m glad I didn’t miss it, and it didn’t seem overly long either. 2 3/4 hrs, not that much longer than average.
I see Baz and Muckole have decided not to work together on any more movies…
