What does it show that isn’t in the dozen or so other documentaries about the snow monkeys?
They’re cute critters is that scientific enough sometimes?

Sorry for cynicism. Am starting to get fed up with wildlife documentaries about animals that I’ve seen on TV scores of times before. Particularly lions and elephants. There are so many animals that hardly ever appear on wildlife documentaries.
What annoys me is an animal doco billed as all new and it is footage I have seen before with different narration and assembled in a new collection.
I won’t even watch it unless Oprah does the voiceover.
I don’t even watch unless it has Fran Drescher doing the voice over

I was not offended. I don’t lack the self confidence to post a thread that does attract the interest of the universe’s population. I do think about how does a monkey get out of a hot thermal spring in the middle of a snow filled mountain top without needing to hop back into the thermal pool immediately. The rapid shift in temperature could induce hypothermia I would’ve thought…
and i even recognise some of the animals. it’s as if there are ‘star” animals and the rest are just extras. that’s if they’re not just CGI.

Must be the fur I think. Core temperature would be high and blood vessels dilated. So no immediate discomfort. But without fur the dilated blood vessels would lead to rapid heat loss from the skin causing discomfort until the blood vessels constricted again.
They are furry monkeys.
