i went down to B and bought some punnets of herbs – i figure this could well be the easiest spot to pick them – if you’re half way through cooking a recipe and suddenly discover you need them.

i presume you are referring to the blonde beers. it is surprising to find 20-30 very different beers. spicy, peppery, cloudy, stout like, herbal, sweet dessert beers – having beer with every course is different. it got too noisy so we went to an outside table and it would have expensive but we had won a voucher that absorbed 3/4 of the cost.

I am so not going to show MrD this post…I still vividly remember when we went to Adelaide in the Christmas of 1981, he was so trim to start with but all those wonderful restaurants (we went to a Greek one twice) he prolly thought “I’ll not pass this way again” and he did justice to them that was above and beyond the call of duty…
I’m still trying to get fit so we can go kayaking around some part of south-west Tasmania for our 25 wedding anniversary (couple of years ago now)…if I mention this cafe he will try to fit it into the route either going down or coming back…maybe the $$$ will put him off!

$50 a head – if you’re modest. and its only got the one vego option. but the foods are novel – fairy floss in a white chocolate dessert.
