I write with my right hand, but I am “left handed” at golf, cricket, and baseball, I throw objects with my right hand, and generally catch objects with both hands although my right hand catch is more reliable. With tennis, table tennis, and squash I am right handed, but my back hand strokes are generally more controlled and powerful than my fore hand shots, are there any “lefties” out there who are the mirror image of this?

I’m a bit similar. Write, play tennis, table tennis LH. Squash, rifle shoot L or RH. Golf LH but can hit RH quite well.

Middle nephew is the same, writes right handed, but always picks up sports equipment with his left hand, kicks a footy left footed too

With shooting, not that I do much of it, I hold the butt of the gun to my right shoulder only, can’t hold it to my left shoulder, with a pistol right hand only.

I used a semi automatic rifle which ejected to the right. A hot cartridge case down your shirt soon teaches you to use the right shoulder.

Kick footy right foot only.
I generally played left wing so needed a left foot kick but was more comfortable right foot kicking.

When I was in very special intelligence you had to be able to shoot both handed(cant talk about it on a public forum), it was often a matter of life and death.
I can also hear out of both ears.

My pistol was a S&W 38 with a 2” barrel. Couldn’t hit anything with either hand.

Your victim is intended to be holding a long ‘guide-pipe’ to whichever body part you are aiming for.

I think “very special intelligence” is traditionally one-eyed & blinkered.

I can remember doing a quiz a long time ago, about how strong your handedness is. There’s an entire continuous range from strongly RH to strongly LH, with everything else in between.
I’m strongly RH, but preferably pick up drinks with my left hand, and also prefer LH for computer mouse. Mrs m is also strongly RH, but ambidextrous when it comes to playing the piano. A friend of mine is LH, but writes with his right hand.

I thought handedness was determined by whichever hand you wrote with? These days it’s almost moot considering how many people only type and never pick up a pen.
FTR I used to be ambidextrous, a necessity while I had a cast on my right arm :) I rarely use my left hand.

Sort of.
I am left-handed for fine tasks – writing, soldering, cutting with a knife or scissors. But right-handed for things that need strength – throwing, batting and bowling, golf, kicking etc.
Tasks in between like sawing or using a hammer I can do pretty much equally with both.
I prefer the computer mouse on the left, using the middle finger for left-click and the index finger for right-click.

Hmm. First time I thought about which hand I was using was as a young lad I was offered ten shillings to clear the weeds around the fenceline of a half acre block. Didn’t matter, shovel rake hoe could easily be used in both hands and this proved useful. I found I could cut thin strips of Callitris kindling equally well no matter which hand held the wood the kindling was being scliced off by the axe.
Decades later a friend said while watching me do that said, “you’d never see my hand that close to the axe”.
I did try practicing writing with my left. Managed some success at it while at school but of course I’d already spent too much time developing writing with my right hand and needed to be doing schoolwork. I can make recognisable words but it is dreadfully slow.
As a watchmaker one needs to be quite dextrous with both hands.
