Saw a disaster movie about anthropogenic global warming on TV today.

The plot.
Two nuclear test blasts are by accident simultaneous.
This changes the nutation (polar wobble) of the Earth.
Which changes the tilt of the Earth’s axis by 11%.
Which causes the Earth to spiral in towards the Sun.
Which creates about 40 degrees of anthropogenic global warming.

The movie is set in the place most affected of course, a newsroom in London.
Local consequences are in turn:
Pea souper fogs,
Water supply cut to all London homes, except for public showers in major parks.
Drinking water becomes illegal.
Everyone in London starts dying from tropical diseases Typhoid and Cholera.

At that point I switched off.

I’d be PMSL if they weren’t so serious about it all. How could any author dream up such garbage in 1966?
Name of film “The day the Earth caught fire”. Channel 92.
