Because the “total fertility rate” in Europe is well below the sustainability benchmark of 2.1 children per female (eg. in Spain it’s 1.3) in a few hundred years the total population of Europe will be less than 1. ;-)

If the <1 prediction is correct, then I think we can be pretty confident in the more precise 0.5 estimate.
+- 0.5 anyway.

So one of the twins copped a detention the other day for not wearing the right uniform in HPE…
He couldn’t find his sports shirt so he asked me to write him a note for his teacher..
The note read as follows:
To Whom It May Concern
Twin 2 couldn’t find his sports shirt this morning so I’ll leave it you to decide if this is an appropriate excuse or not.

Well yes the Middle East is a well known harbour of reason and civility so bolstering Europe with large numbers of these people will work out just fine I reckon.
That’s why it is called the cradle of civilisation

And they never got much better, by rights Athens and Greece is the epicentre of philosophy and culture though no one in their right mind would think so now. The monuments of Greece are just that monuments to another time and space , barren structures patrolled by angry teenage girls blowing whistles at the few tourists that visit
Lonely Planet could do with more people like you. People with mettle.

If I ever go back to nose around its monuments I’ll find some suitable space to air more of my opinions , it will help them in the long run

Hard to predict where Western Europe will be in a hundred years but it’s hard to foresee sunny uplit lands.

If they get a Greek bulldozer driver to do it he’d probably ruin all the ruins too.

Eat at reputable places , in Cappadocia they gave my significant other a salad with raw chicken mixed in it. In general in savage lands stay away from salads, cooked food only and only from places with a standard of not killing its customers. Never eat anything from anyone selling on the street even if it looks to be part of an established eatery.
Turkey has more to see but you’re better off hiring a car when you get to a particular spot
Russia will bolster its borders and weaken threats from Europe by fostering welcoming groups for immigrants in Germany and such places. With Germany and Europe reeling from a barbarian invasion of such types it will resemble the Middle East war torn and ravaged by stupidity

Some countries in Easter Europe didn’t muck about. Not attractive destinations anyway, they just erected barbed wire and posted guards.

In one of Applebaums books she mentions that prior to the Great War most pundits thought that due to the entanglement of alliances, the economic ties plus the colossal cost a war was all but impossible and if it happened would be short…home by Christmas. A European war is impossible now for the same reasons…

The British seem to be labouring that they are not at war! Considering the whole mess they have become embroiled with in the Middle East thanks to taking American advice and tony Blair
They are still allowing personnel to jog outside the gates unarmed and alone, it will only be a matter of time ….
High value targets such as Buckingham place and the tourist sites in the CBD will be most likely
And of course, there is only one way to stop this coming war, shut down the turkey / ISIS connection by cutting the roads to ISIS held open by Turkey
But anyway that’s obvious to anyone with a map

And then Turkey closes down its airfields. If it is obvious to you wookie, it is obvious to people with much higher paygrades and access to better information and there are reasons why the obvious and simple is not done, and usually because when examined, things are not so simple or obvious.
SO who is the bigger Putin fanboi: Trump or Wook?

The fact is these higher pay grades are useless managers
So the war goes on

Like when I complained that invading Iraq and Afghanistan was stupidThe fact is these higher pay grades are useless managers
So the war goes on
You have a habit of predicting the past. You need to provide quotes with a date. And complaining about stupid is a wide vista and takes in many terrains.
Nato would be better off marching out of turkey and kicking them out of nato
Shut the corridor to extremists and send no more money and arms to anyone
Send all refugees back

At any rate what I think is irrelevant
It’s a normal response from any thinking human to point out obvious solutions
The obvious reason behind the obvious not being persued is that someone is making money from the situation , sure there are a few people dying everyday from random knife attacks and shootings but life goes on and the money train cannot be stopped

Complained about what and most importantly when. Because of your habit of predicting the past I held your heels to the fire and the only time you ever predicted a current event as it was happening you predicted carriers in flames.
Re knife attacks random is by definition almost impossible to predict or stop. I doubt there is money exchanging hands, but there is a political problem in stopping Islamic nutters, our society provides protections for its citizens to do pretty much what they like up to the point where they sink the knife. Our society defends and protects the intolerant and politicians with an eye to election cannot offend constituents in certain electorates.
I agree this is not good but the alternatives appear to be worse.

When I visited in 1992 people were casually walking through human shit at Piraeus ( Athens port that sparked the pelopennesian war)
things got worse under the EU, if I ever go back I’ll think about taking my own food , Greek food is foul , we were advised by an Irish lady in Piraeus who lived there for 20 years the only credible food was from “goodies” the Greek version of macdonalds. We were in the one at omonia square and watched drug deals happening openly in the place
