Is everyone aware the 2G network is closing down soon

Telstra are shutting their 2G network down in December with Optus to soon follow in April

Vodaphone may be keeping it for a bit longer

I just have an ordinary landline home ‘phone I don’t think it has any “Gs” do I have to get a new ‘phone?

i have one. does what i want. will get a better one shortly though.

Don’t know, dial 013 and ask the operator.

I remember the outrage when they shut down 1G.

That’s Molly Perkins, the last live phone operator working in Australia. She’s not actually a recording, she’s paid to say those two lines over and over again when people misdial.
