Can you enlighten the forum as to the situation in your town, Buffy? With the generally heavy rain in your area is there any chance some of it has added to the Rocklands Dam level? Last time I looked Rocklands was about 19%

Casterton levels are dropping, but given we are expecting Quite A Lot Of Rain in the next couple of days there is the potential for Casterton to break previous flood levels.

I was in Renmark (Sth Aust) last Thursday night (Sept 8th), where it fair bucketed down for most of the night.

The next morning, I checked the local BoM site – Renmark Aerodrome – to discover that the equipment had malfunctioned, and hadn’t recorded anything after midnight. :( However, the pre-midnight figures were up around the 20mm mark.

This was the same rain event that affected south-west Victoria.

There’s something suss about the BoM’s rainfall figures for last week for that site: they suggest there was only 0.2mm of rain recorded for the period.
