A move to Standard Generic Satellites SGS could help resolve space junk

the SGS system would involve a modular design of box, solar panels, replaceable batteries, replaceable controller, replaceable sensor array, camera array, replaceable main board, replaceable communications board, spare room for more boards, a bay for replaceable redundancy boards etc

They would be placed into an orbit whereby future resusable maintenance supply ships, can replace easily swap modules then visit or wait for the next satellite in the orbit ring

They would be designed for ten, twenty year lifespans or more

if it is fixing geostationary satellites then it would be going at the same speed as them so couldn’t “wait”. and to “visit” it would need to change orbit, then change back again to get to the satellite.

Would satellites arranged in an orbit ring reduce visiting ship fuel needs?

it still has to get from one to the next. if it is in the same orbit then it must be going at the same speed. so it still has to do orbital maneuvers and use fuel.

Ok, thanks.
