Mr D drank all our stores of port over the winter…I tried to tell him port does not go off… he even drank the Grandfather Port that I bought him (for when he becomes a grandpa in maybe 10 years time) so I am not buying him another…but I do need some port for the trifle…sigh

MrD’s liberality (if that’s the word) with the Sherry is legendary…we all still remember that Christmas (held under a Jacaranda tree before the offspring broke that branch…)It’s MrD’s Christmas task to “do” the trifle…

Well my friends it’s time to say it again. I shall be off the airwaves for the next 2 days, visiting various children and others. *I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas filled with love and good food. A very happy and bountiful New Year too *
To all you wonderful green gurus…… Merry Christmas and stay safe.
Flat out here……… catch you all when its quieter…..
Love & Hugs to all.
Merry Christmas to all. Drive safe if you’re travelling.
We’re going to MrBL’s nephew’s, near Warwick, early on Christmas Day and coming back Boxing Day evening.
This is going to sound morbid, but….
This time of year can bring out some dark days in some people, so if you are feeling low please tell someone.
The local Police Sgt went into the armory today and shot himself with his pistol.
I didn’t know him personally, but there are a lot of people very shocked that he (in his senior position) did this. You just don’t know who is feeling low, it could be the person next to you.

yep, it can be a tough time for many people, especially those with broken families or if there has been a family death near Christmas.

I certainly am :D
Just need to stoke up the webber, make 2 salads….. open presents.
I have even relented and going to use plastic plates this year. Bimbo will supply for lunch and I’ll supply for dinner. My are green plates, I so hope this will help with the environmental side of it. One year….no one helped at all….. I did it ALL on my own….washing, serving…..
All organised here. 2 familys involved, I’m taking the xmas cake and savory cheesecake to middle daughters, she is preparing the veges , her fiance’ mum is supplying and cooking the meats.
I was restricted as to how much I could bring .. I was told, just the cake..because they thought I would go overboard. Now whatever makes them think that! lol.
(I’ll have to sneak the pav ,trifle and mars bar cheesecake in through the side door hehehe )
Well at this stage I’m going to be a loner tomorrow.
Big Christmas meals are inedible to me (because of my banding) and seeing I’m a vegetarian sitting down to a huge roast spread to eat a baked potato and a bit of salad seems pretty silly.
On a brighter note I just filled in an online application to be a trainee locomotive driver, a position here in town. Train drivers in WA are keenly sought and it’s a well paid job. I probably won’t get it (and it won’t be the end of the world if I don’t), but you never know.. LOL
Oh, Happy Christmas if our paths don’t cross tomorrow.

i don’t want anybody to feel sorry for me…..just don’t end up here/there.
Well I don’t have any parents unless I visit the cemetery.. My siblings live overseas and far away.. even my son lives out of the country.. Later today I will share Christmas with my wife and daughter plus the mother-in-law.. but for now.. I’m off to work in the citrus nursery for the morning. Summer is always like this.
Hope you all enjoy the day.. seems like it will be a nice day though it is still dark out.
Merry Christmas all.
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you all.
Hope 2009 brings you all good things, health, wealth, happiness, and as much rain as you can handle.
Cheers

Hi Kennette!
Collie what radio station is it?
Merry Christmas all. Our daughter, son-in-law and new granddaughter arrived late today for their first overnight stay. Our son is also here overnight.
Son had a lovely time out in the garden late this afternoon digging spuds and despite us all having had way to mmuch food at lunch time, he decided that we have a plate of chips for dinner. Boy they taste good when they are fresh like that.
I only arrived home last night (came home from daughter’s via Canberra). Boy what a difference a week and half makes. Hubby has been unable to to get into the garden while I have been away and it has been overtaken by weeds…sigh. Also a lot of fruit on the trees was blown off with by the wind…such a shame
Merry Christmas all :) Hope it’s been a really lovely day!
I haven’t been around much as I’ve been busy trying to get all the greywater dripline mulched over so that the council can come and approve the system… But the good news is my Christmas laptop is up and running, so theoretically I should be around a lot more from now on! yay! :)
Although I’m knackered right now so it’s bed time soon…
I just lived a second Christmas by reading all your doings fore and aft of the big day. Good fun.
