Subject: Guava under attack

Just to prove we are not all a bunch of gasbags :)

Something is eating my little Strawberry Guava plant! I have been out first thing in the morning, after work, and before bed, and have never seen it, but I can see what it’s done to the leaves.

Rather than a roundish “nibbled” look, it is leaving behind very angular bits of leaves – triangular remnants, if that makes sense.

I know this is probably too vague for a bug ID, but – is there a generic sort of spray I could try to discourage the attacker?

Chilli spray maybe??

I wondered about that, but are they likely in the suburbs of Perth?? I thought they only lived in exotic jungles and David Attenborough docos grin

VG, what kind of guavas do you have? Mine are strawberry guavas and I think they are supposed to be smaller than the other varieties, but still my fruit come out so tiny (about the size of a normal marble).

Hmm, that’s no good. Any ideas on how I can catch the bugger in the act?

Weird thing is, it only eats this one plant…
