Afternoon VG. I don’t know about that one, but if you can get your hands on a copy I would recommend “The Australia and New Zealand Complete Book of Raising Livestock and Poultry” Edited by Katie Thear and Dr Alastair Fraser. It was first published in 1980, but I have the 1982 edition. Mine is in paperback and I have found that it has a lot of good commonsense advice. It is subtitled “A Self-Sufficiency Guide”. I think I bought mine through Grass Roots magazine.

I just did a quick Google search and you might have to get it through an antiquarian book shop, but it is well worth it. Check your local library too..they might have a copy.

That’s cool…I don’t think you get much better with Jackie French’s book….but then again you can never have too many books I reckon!

I really think she knows her stuff too vg……Jackie has alot of good advice… I don’t have this book but I have others from her that are great. The same book, second hand on ebay is $17.95

unless you’re going to raise your own poultry etc…basic chook keeping is just that, basic. i bought a chook keeping etc book, and was mostly fluff. learnt more from the forums.
