Subject: We need Donald Trump to Win

Hi again! I’m feeling contrarian today. Here is an explanation of why we should all be praying to whatever god we believe in that Donald Trump should win the current US presidential election.

Donald Trump is a horrible person. He consistently lies, exaggerates, panders to people’s baser drives and is likely more concerned with himself than he is with the citizen of America. He is probably corrupt and appears to have little moral character.

Hillary Clinton is a horrible person. She consistently lies, exaggerates, panders to people’s baser drives and is likely more concerned with herself then she is with the citizen of America. She is provably corrupt and appears to have little moral character.

Trump is a small man aiming for a big job. Should he be elected, Trumpanism will be buried under the responsibilities of the job. Trump will be virtually powerless to make his country or the world in general a worse place. He will have no support from the other political arms of the US Government and his power will be severely curtailed.. A Trump presidency will be ridiculous, but it will not be entirely destructive.

Clinton is a big woman aiming for a big job. Should she be elected she will dominate the roll and redefine the limits of acceptability. Clinton will be powerful and has documented aims which will make the world a worse place to live in. She will enjoy unilateral support fro other political arms of the US Government and her power will be virtually unlimited. A Clinton presidency will look legitimate, and 5 years from now everyone will be convincing themselves that we had no choice but to shoot down Russian warplanes over Syria and that this new war, which looks increasingly like a World War could not have been avoided, even Trump couldn’t have avoided it.

The USA has a choice between two terrible candidates. Will they choose the one who likes to brag about his fame allowing him to “grab ém by the pussy” or will they choose the one who goes on and on about womens rights whilst accepting muti-million dollar donations to her “Foundation” from Saudi Arabia?

Further, make no mistake that the large scale support for Trump is not because lots of people think a wall on the Mexican border is a good idea. What you are seeing is a populist uprising targeting the political system which Clinton is the poster-girl for. These revolutionary sentiments will not disappear, regardless of who wins this election. A significant and growing number of people want to see change in their political system. They will not get that with Clinton. They will not get it with Trump, but Trump may pave the way for genuine reform. If the American people do not get satisfaction through the civilised process of democratic elections, they will turn to their back-up plan…the Second Ammendment. Probably not this election cycle, maybe not next; but eventually, if they do not get satisfaction through democractic elections they will begin to exercise their second amendment rights.

A Hillary Clinton presidency will be disastrous, both domestically and internationally.

A Donald Trump presidency will be hilarious, both domestically and internationally.

Whom would you chose?

Neither of them, America has this problem, there needs to be more candidates running until the last few weeks, with better algorithms for demoting candidates within a party becoming unpopular and promoting other candidates to the top position, that would put more pressure to perform better, if they had had a system like that Trump would be gone.

Candidates with the most money tend to go the furthest in the US political race.

There is a persistent media narrative that the citizens of the USA should be and are embarrassed by the presence of Donald Trump as a presidential candidate.

This is a “pro-Hillary” and pro-establishment stance which the mainstream media (both in the US and overseas) has been complicit in tendering.

I say screw that, and screw the mainstream media. Donald Trump should not be a source of embarrassment to the American people. They put him there for a reason, that reason being a big “Screw you” to the political establishment. Their political establishment sucks right now. They should be proud of standing up for themselves, not shamed in to hiding away in their supposedly racist, sexist, misogynistic nihilism.

There’s probably tuna swimming around thinking what a joke the American election is, certainly the dolphins are laughing about it.

It’s not a joke though, sibeen. Everyone wants to think it’s a joke, and everyone that wants to control what people think want people to think it’s a joke.

This US election is the Populist vs the Establishment.

People throughout many of the worlds democracies(the US, Europe (Brexit was a successful retaliation against the EU establishment), even here in Australian) are getting tired of the establishment.

Trump vs Clinton is not a joke. It’s a very clear signal that the US Republic is a republic just like any other republic in history, and that the history of Republics is simply repeating itself. Donald Trump is no Julius Caesar, but he is clearing the path for such a person to rise to prominence in US politics if the establishment doesn’t recognise their problem and fix it really soon.

No. Clinton vs Trump is not a joke. It is history in action. It is beautiful.

But scary.

Julius didn’t really dring down the republic, that was left to his adopted son, Octavius; who then became the emperor Augie.

Trump has damaged America, has he bought out a horrible ugliness over the course of his campaign using the media to propagate that ugliness, more people are now following him.

Their political system is broken and needs fixing.

No he hasn’t. Trump entered the presidential race on an anti-establishment platform. His campaign team recognised that running an anti—establishment campaign with any chance of making an impact required getting the pro-establishment mainstream media to report on them. So Trump has consistently said things that the media cannot ignore…. and I don’t mean that reporter ethics kick in or anything like that, I mean let’s just say things so outrageous that the media will think by reporting these things they will diminish support for Trump.

Except, they reported it all and support did not drop. Trump said a lot of despicable things and maintained his popularity. The “grab ‘em by the pussy” narrative was the first time the media got any real traction on their campaign against Trump, and we see his popularity dropping as a result.

Clinton is the worst person to fix what’s broken. Her entire life, personal and professional, has revolved around exploiting what is broken. She is financially incentivised to maintain and expand the broken system as that is what advantages her personally the most. I’m not being facetious when I say she is the poster girl for the establishment, the very establishment which is “broken”.

That’s why I’m championing Trump. Not because he is a good choice, but because he is not literally the worst choice.

There’s only three things the US needs.

1. Elections held one fortnight or less after the election announcement.

2. A presidential cavalcade that consists of just two bodyguards and a driver.

3. A presidential military intelligence adviser that tells the truth.

things are difficult enough at home, I voted for a kevin and got a julia later, kevin made a comeback then some confusion got me a tony that was switched for a malcolm.

way back before that I voted for a john, but later toward the end of john’s time I found out there seemed to have been something stasi-like about in the aether.

john I thought was a good guy for a long time, reminded me of a bob from way back, though I was only a few months from being conceived in bob’s final days. I’d read about him and liked his eyebrows.

There are a few related problems in the US political system. The dominance of Republicans at the state level has led to a massive, shameless gerrymander: at present it seems the Dems will win the vote in the House of Reps by about 6% but still not win control of the house. It has also led to intense partisan polarisation, to the point where in many districts there is an incentive for Republicans to elect the most outlandish obstructionist in the primary, unconcerned about losing the middle in the general election. (In the US, congressional districts are drawn by state legislatures, not independent electoral commissions.)

Meanwhile action to diminish voter suppression will depend on liberals being appointed to the supreme court: in turn this will require both a Democratic senate AND a Democratic president. The current senate is refusing to conduct interviews for the replacement for Justice Scalia.

Basically what the USA needs is three successive Democrat wave-elections (including the 2018 midterm) so that the electoral problems can be fixed as there is no incentive for the Republicans to fix them.

Agree

I don’t

I don’t see anything more awful about Clinton or her supporters or the conversation of her supporters that is any more awful than in earlier US elections.

The whole new level of awfulness is all on one side.

I’m not saying that Clinton is perfect; frankly I don’t know where she sits on the scale of typical US presidential candidate awfulness, but the idea that she and Trump are similarly awful is just a win for Trump.

As for the idea that Trump is in some way “anti-establishment”, I can’t see how anyone would accept that. He’s the very model of a modern pro-establisher.

We get the “leaders” we deserve because elections are won by the lowest common denominator.

As the population gets worse so do politicians . Eventually the whole thing implodes

If hillary gets in im most likely going to start storing provisions in the likely event sbe’ll start a major war. If shes greedy she’ll just fill her pockets one last time and put in a proxy to make sure they cant prosecute.

I wonder when they will all wake up to themselves. Monsanto want to make everyone in the world have GM corn but this means that indegenous corn growers can’t sell their heirloom varieties and thus the people are poor enough to attempt to cross the desert into the USA where DT wants to build his wall.
