Your style is very much like my Mother’s, I like it…It’s me I worry about: just how thick and slow I find myself to be time after time…for instance until late November 08, I never knew that trains don’t have steering wheels…it took me weeks to come to grips with that one and the men in my family still think this is hilarious…

Sure is Dinetta!
One batch of jelly lamingtons has turned into 3, with orders coming in for them now.
A couple almond lemon slices and some cupcakes to go yet.

It’s too hot now for doing anything outside, but I got another load of mulch, this lot was on special , and in bags so I have stored it for later use. And got a couple ‘bouvaria’ plants for next to the sliding patio door :)

Very well done, Lucky!

It’s been about 35 years since I last saw a real live rhubarb…it was growing in the (illegal) shower water in red clay, on the eastern side of the house…made beaut eating…however the plants in the pics on your blog do look very healthy…

I’m so pleased for you (and Mr Lucky with his rhubarb too)…has the one on the people fence, got access to the compost bins on the other side?

No Dinetta, no where near the compost. Maybe it’s just a great area for a rhubarb plant.

So pretty, but they’re pests here :( Be nice to live somewhere where you can encourage them to show up :D

They fly in and fly out here often Bon…… no damage in the garden, from what I can tell.

They’re pretty common in Perth now too, but they arrived as escapees from aviaries – back in the 60s I think.

There’s a big worry that they will make it down south to the wineries…

And they’re very aggressive birds, they kick the local birds out of all the good nesting sites.

Gorgeous though – I used to have some as pets, and my MiL has one now too.

Been out and feed the animals, fed the worms and checked the collection buckets for worms…..none and their castings are lurvly and cool :D

Said to the elf…. I want to take everything out of the cream worm farm and see what is happening in the bottom water tray. Give it a service and pop everything back, worms, food and all castings.

http://luckysduckfarm.blogspot.com/2007/04/worms-big-day-out.html

Been awhile since I gave up using the worm farm as a expensive compost bin. The link will take you to a posting of when I set it up as a 3rd worm farm……
