I’m going to die too, but

…I want to leave some important experiences. Some interesting creations.

Which is why I can’t live next to suburban neighbours, or anyone. I need to be alone, because I often sing and play instruments in the middle of the night. And it has to be my night, and my universe.

This place came close, but it was an illusion. The neighbours are still too close, the world that’s not mine still hems me in.

That place 1.5km out of Longford would have come closer to what I seek. But I hesitated, because of the dangerous ride into town. I was a fool, and it’s now gone.

Will I be able to find a place in which I can sing? There are but weeks left. Only time will tell.

But if I end up in the wrong place, I fear I’ll be going the same way as those poor roosters.

You will go down in chicken history as a right arsehole. They will probably make a horror film based on your deeds.

I have lived more than a kilometre from neighbors for many years now and cannot imagine returning to suburbia. If something happened to force me from my current abode, I would get a good large tent and head bush and set up camp near a decent waterhole and many kilometres from people. However to get what you want you must be able to live very simply in what most would consider harsh conditions, but the peace and quiet and the freedom, more than make up for it.

Like the roosters, I get it.
How well do you play/sing, and how softly/loudly, and how middle?

How does your significant other(s) cope with this?

Whenever I need to make disturbing noises (screams and rants) in the middle of the night I go to the car. Nobody cares when I make noises in the car, even when it’s parked. Bit difficult to play an instrument there, though.

> It has to be my night, and my universe.

Nice thought.
You could choose somewhere near a bat colony.

Have you considered hiring yourself out to a town with a corella problem?

Looks like the car, permeate and PWM would make excellent neighbours.

As long as they were separated by at least 5 km and a sizeable hill.

Mr Car – I think I mentioned this a while back, check what the law is regarding having to move from one rental to another. From my time in NSW, many years back, you didn’t have to vacate on the day determined by the agent and/or owner if you had not been able to find a suitable place to move to. The house that you missed out on was not entirely suitable, because of the access situation.

Check with the state housing authority.

I’ll move out before the lease runs out, come what may. Realistically I’ll almost certainly have to settle for something less than ideal :)

I just hope it’s not something too depressingly far from ideal.

I too want to be alone, bogans across the road working on cars all the time, I have about 5 neighbors that are strange, two to them stare at me like I have done something wrong.

I really dislike that intrusion into a persons social boundary where they could choose to ignore me, but demand some attention, and they push that social boundary thinking that I’m ignorant of them and so on, when I just want to be left alone.

and Im in a co joined house which makes it uncomfortable as i cannot play music the way Id like, time constraints and stuff, I need to be alone to get involved with my artwork

Lots of people feel that hemmed in feeling

Me as well, I have no room or any space I can call my own, it’s why a computer is so important as everything personal can be on it and it doesn’t take up much space. I live on a suburban block but its set up to grow as much as possible which whilst time consuming is peaceful

but those JW will just push right through.

Last time a god-botherer came to my door to convert me, I ended up converting her to atheism.

We have screaming-at-others girl next door, about 25 metres away. She started last night around 11:30 pm and continued for half an hour. About midnight she was standing on the footpath screaming at brother and others.

I experienced something like that in the supermarkets shopping center carpark, mum and daughter in the car with the teen yelling at her mother.

Good luck finding a house bubblecar – you’re a weird and quirky individual but you should not have to go the same way as those chickens… those poor little defenseless chickens

It would take more than poisoned grain to get him, some smoked salmon with salad and a bottle of alcohol perhaps

> I was thinking impermeable domes

Solid timber doors + double glazed windows actually suffices for soundproofing.
