One of the most misunderstood facets of test cricket is the number of overs allotted for a days play.
In a normal day it is 90, if the 90 overs have not been bowled by the scheduled time for stumps play can continue, however if the minimum number of overs has been bowled before the scheduled stumps play continues until stumps.
Play can also continue for half an hour past stumps to make up for lost time due to rain or bad light in previous days, the number of overs bowled has no bearing on this.

Also the powers that be have not factored in the time taken for referals.
Each referral takes at least 5 minutes, if you have 5 in a day that’s 25 minutes gone.
They should factor this in, it’s not rocket science.
