Go here for a good read and some fine photography… if I don’t say so myself.

My plan is now to write about all the PNG Provinces I have been to, kinda like an armchair guide to some of the things they may not show you in your travel agent.

PM’s guide to PNG

I’m a little confused by that too.

If you are referring to that steve character, then yes, it is I.

Its a long story, and I didn’t want a “Pain Master in PNG” blog, so steve stepped up to the plate. All photos and all words are by the PM though don’t you worry about that.

There isn’t a picture of steve or the PM that I can see on there…

Oh, OK, thanks for the explanation..there is a very famous “Steve” by that name, did you know? He makes his living with art photography …

Yes he makes it seem so easy, dammit!…but there’s a lot in the composition and then his text makes them more meaningful…I’ve been enjoying the “armchair travel” since Pain Master got over there…

Oh really? I did not know that. I chose steve bennett as it looks and sounds like a real name, but I picked it from a very obscure Cartoon Character, who know one has ever seen but only heard mentioned once. When I heard it, I thought what a great nom de plume for an internet identity.

I Googled…but you didn’t come up (as SB): only this other character…

Every time I hear the name Bennett, I think of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen…which I read once a year and get something different each time…

Another reason why I chose it. I think SB is also a Football player in the US, so I figured it would take some working out…

Interesting if you Google SB + PNG then you will find me, but you will also find an artist called Stephen Bennett who funnily enough has visited some of the sites I have recently mentioned in my Blog, now that’s a turn for the cards!

Well I didn’t get you when I did that…maybe I didn’t look hard enough or maybe I didn’t use the right clues?

Not to worry, and will you be following the Tour Down Under this year? I see where Lance Armstrong is going to stretch his legs (or is that flex his calf muscles?) with a view to participating in the Tour Up Top?

Hopefully will be able to keep one eye on the bikes down under. I have heard that LA is currently in Adelaide and I have yet to hear a confirmed sighting of him yet.

I’ve only read a bit of the blog so far PM but it is really interesting and the photos are fantastic. I’m not sure if you say so in your blog, and I haven’t been on the forum long enough to know, but why are you in PNG? I gather it’s for work? What do you do?

Pain Master, I have found you on the internet, your weather forum as well, and it looks like you have added to your “blogo” since last night?

a tremenjous read…

Thanks Dinetta0, that extra “j” reads a little Eastern Bloc? and yes, I do frequent the old weatherzone forums as Steve. There’s a little PNG thread in the tropic pages that makes for some good weather reading and photos. Lots of rainfall guff and stuff.

I am planning on updating the blogo on a reg basis over the next few days, trying to capture a little moment of my travels around PNG.

Cheers,
pm.

I have headed north because of work, but work just fills in the time between adventures and wandering around which is what my blog is made up of…

Thanks Dinetta0 :)

I watched the highlights on SBS tonight. I could remember the roads like it was yesterday, the climb up Snake Gully and then Checker Hill and then the climb out of Gawler again… My thighs started twitching and I think I got a cramp in my calf muscle on the decent of Black Top Road.

Awesome stuff!!!!

Go Lance!
