Most learn not to do this when very young. I see a kid doing it occasionally and am alarmed. It’s one of those things that can do terrible damage to social status.

What are the nearest (acceptable) behaviours for an adult – a grownup – that substitutes for the same thing. What an adult might do that is nearing as bad, or perhaps worse (really) that doesn’t excite the same level of revulsion.

I mean are many of us nose picking snot gobblers, just it’s been sublimated and presents as something more respectable?

I dislike Nadal as well. It’s a wonder other players don’t demand E. coli swabs of the ball.
