What would shield electronics from an EMP ?
Could you do it yourself with readily available material and thirdly and this of course would vary with the device / vehicle, etc could it still function as normal whilst shielded.

What worries me more about an EMP is the effect other than on electrical and electronic systems.
Would it cause your aluminium window frames to catch fire? It might. Could a steel-framed high rise generate lightning? It might. Could the induced electric currents through the human body stop the heart or fry the brain? It might. Would the induced electric current kill trees? It might.
Would an aluminium foil hat help? No, but it might set your hair on fire.
