A cane toad was caught today in Mawson Lakes……..a burb near Port Wakefield Highway….. We can walk there if we have the time and lungs for it.

Going to do some night searches to see if there are others about.

The freight train track runs along the back of Mawson Lakes burb

They are saying this morning, finding 1 isn’t a problem…. but a pair is………we get about 2 coming down off the freight trains a year.

I saw on the telly that they had warned people not to touch them because they’re toxic. Plenty of people up here handle them, no worries. It takes more than touching them.

I really hope it’s a one off Lucky.

Far Out! I remember once they thought a pair escaped from the Salisbury College Campus.

Hope they killed it dead. I asw one today at altitude which was a monster, the biggest Cane Toad I ever did see.

It was huge!
