I’m mildly allergic to cats and dogs, ryegrass, etc.
So are cats and dogs allergic to me? Feral cats and dogs?

Which makes me wonder, given the prevalence of tissue rejection. It’s frequently said as a joke that “I’m allergic to people” but what proportion of people would be mildly allergic to people? And are there some people that provoke allergies in others more often?

One of my cats has allergic responses that only started when we moved to this side of town….after we got a dog. The vet said it would be almost impossible to test her.

Cats allergic to dogs, that makes sense. A simple skin test would suffice to test, but using the old fashioned method that was used when I was tested, a palette that allowed testing by introducing the allergens in less than 0.1 seconds. Unlike the more sterile modern method that takes ten minutes to introduce the allergens.

bit early to be thinking, possibly even dangerous, i’m 1/3rd way through my first coffee

was just thinking that some sensitivity to such things probably drove or drives ‘hygiene’

you know i’m allergic to choking dust, fungus growing in my lungs, mange, rabies…(it’s a long list)
