But actually there is another colour like orange. Orange can either be a 2:1 mixture of red light and green light, or it can be a monochromatic light of around 600nm.

According to QI some oranges are naturally green, with the comment that the colour of bought oranges is often artificially produced.

About the colour itself, see the xkcd colour chart to find out what colour we really think is orange.

Being red-green colourblind, orange sometimes appears to me as dirty yellow, sometimes as a shade of red, but most often as orange.
