This awesome periodic table shows the origins of every atom in your body

Here’s something to think about: the average adult human is made up of 7,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (7 octillion) atoms, and most of them are hydrogen – the most common element in the Universe, produced by the Big Bang 13.8 billion years ago.

I wouldn’t normally click on a headline like that, Tau Neutrino.

I’m trusting you here, big time.

It’s wrong.

Nothing comes from merging neutron stars.

Doesn’t anyone fact-check these things?

Not bad, not bad, but I do have some uranium atoms in my body.

I’m not especially advocating the view, but note that some astrophysicists have lent weight to the idea:

Not reading article but.

1. Neutron stars don’t collide often. In the whole history of the Milky Way there would have been less than a dozen neutron stars that collided.

2. When neutron stars do collide, all you get is a black hole.
