I see you are like me and use the screw cap lids instead of the clear tops. My sister told me about this and the jam stays fresher.

By rights the jam as it cools down will suck in the lid and become air tight again. When you open a jar of jam later on…. it should pop, just as if you had bought the jar.

Thanks Pepper:) Hi Lucky,
It’s a perfect day here, warm and breezy. It’s going to get hotter later and tomorrow. Glad it’s warm though because we’re going to an evening jazz do at Cruden farm, which is Dame Elizabeth Murdoch’s place. Picnic etc. Tomorrow it’s the Open garden there and we’ll go there again probably.
It’s not far from where we live – which is more than can be said of a lot of things!
