I have the gourd seeds and I have soaked them.

Any suggestions about growing them?

Where would I plant them? What position?

Do they need to have hanging spaces?

I was just thinking that hanging spaces would cut down on mildew problems, if your area is prone to them…my pumpkins used to meander through neighbouring trees, including a bogan…

A lot of people grow cucmbers on trellises. To my knowledge most cucurbits will grow over support. Pumpkins are quite strong enough to hang pumpkins in free air.

I had no ideas about pumpkins.

I know the gourds will hang off a vine though.

Not sure which way it goes, but either gourds are a form of pumpkin, or pumpkins are a form of gourd.

Good luck Ms Spock

They are all a form of cucurbit.

Wish I had taken photos of my friends Queensland blue that came up in a compost heap and climbed an Agonis flexulosa jumped across to the garden shed and along the fence.. hanging large Blue pumpkins all the way.. suspended in mid air.
