I did some work for Idemitsu a while back before their proposed merger with Showa Shell… seems to me the downstream oil and gas people are well on board for an industrial future and gave up on energy production many moons ago…

unlike the coal guys – the sooner the industry wakes up to this fact the better IMO…

coal could quite happily exploit an industrial future as well, but it just means that the thermal producers will have to close up shop sooner or later…
