Australian Scientists Just Made A Major Breakthrough That Could Put Solar Power Anywhere

A new type of electrode developed by researchers at RMIT University has the potential to not only boost the capacity of existing energy storage technologies by 3000 per cent, but it opens the door to the development of flexible, thin film, all-in-one solar capture and storage. We’re talking the means to self-powering smart phones, laptops, cars and buildings.

And it has all been inspired by a plant.

I’m sorry, but I’m just a teensy weensy bit sceptical about that.

Actually, has RMIT taken over MIT’s role of the great spruikers?

Maybe.

I could well believe an improvement of 3%

Now that, is fair. Who knows whether he knew where the . key was?

It may be right. The length of a fractal between A and B can be 30 times the length of a straight line from A to B. So a fractal electrode in a super capacitor could conceivably store 30 times as much energy.

But there could be a trade off, for example in capacitor volume.

Speaking of large two-stage rockets, here’s one i never knew about. It’s quite large. 500’/152 metres tall, one big engine in each stage with the first one supposed to make eighty million lbs of thrust.

tough crowd.

I guess a career in comedy is off the table.

Probably would have helped if my audience was familiar with these articles from 2010 & 2008.
(which I’d tapped into from memory last night)

There is only one thing to do then, kill it off.

You know who else wanted to increase their power capacity? Nazis…

Possibly, but wasn’t that because he stole the amulet and they only had one side of it for directions/measurements
