bit of a crap article
most of the time people don’t want to be experiencing much of any emotion at all. Equilibrium mental states aren’t too much of them
How many emotions are there?
Everybody is different.
Some people at one end of the spectrum experience many emotions in a day while at the other end some people experience little emotion activity across the same time.
There is nothing wrong with someone who experiences little emotion, that is how they are wired, their environment, their experiences in life and who is around them.
Compare that to a family who may experience domestic arguments three times a week or more.
Teens in development / puberty experiences many emotions, new ones developing, overlapping, continually changing while some other teens go right through that with a quieter life.
The preference is for a quiet life, offers balance, time for reflection, peace.
