On the page for the image you want to use, down lower right in the dark area, is an icon: arrow downwards on a flat. Highlight will say download.. click and a popup will ask sizes and at the bottom, all sizes.

click on all sizes.

select a size that fits this forum, 640 or 800 are OK. Right click on the photo that loads at the size you select and then select; copy image location.
You then Surround your image link with You can even do !! then click betwen them and paste your link. ;)

Let’s see if this works.

Yes. That works.

A bit of a roundabout method.

Open Flickr image on your favourite browser.
Right click – “save as” – “html only”
Open the saved html file in a text editor (such as Wordpad)
Copy the name of the first .jpg file in the html text using (ctrl-c)
Insert between exclamation marks on the forum (using ctrl-v).

Let’s try a few more. If it’s not jpg, you’ll find the image name will be in the html line containing:
meta property=“og:image” content=

If you don’t want to download, you can do:
right-click – view-page-source
or
ctrl-u

Yes but that is what you get by doing it the way you described. You need to know to remove the script or it appears as text.

all true. It is also true that until now I’d avoided doing it that way. Being put off by the fact that the Flickr default is to share the whole page rather than only the image.

Also by using the all sizes, it is a direct download.

I’ve never bothered. I don’t look at the ads. And although very early on there was limited space, they now offer more for free than I could possibly need. I keep my photos here on the home computer. I don’t trust something like Photobucket as my main storage. I only use it so I can put photos into the forums.

Works OK and avoids using facebook.
Also you get a full screen view, rather than the crappy facebook viewer.

You still have to pay for it, you simply don’t have to see it.

Train your eyes not to see the ads. Quite easy to do.

Not easy. I still see ads that are exactly the same as when they were created more than ten years ago.

I have the time in the bottom corner of my TV. It’s there all the time but I don’t see it unless I want to know the time.

I have a mob of clocks too but with their position & lighting it’s easier to use the onscreen one.
The menu also lets me remove duplicated channels from the EPG.

Mine are scattered across Oz so Fb lets me send them messages & photos quickly & easily.

I upload my family photos to Onedrive, and send a link by e-mail.
Works OK and avoids using facebook.
Also you get a full screen view, rather than the crappy facebook viewer.

I don’t use Onedrive.

Well it’s there and free to use for any Windows user who doesn’t like Facebook. There’s also the Google equivalent for those who don’t like Microsoft, and loads of other alternatives.

That’s odd. Mine keeps nagging me to use Edge, Google, Chrome, Cortana, and every other bloody thing I don’t want to use, but not Onedrive.

Maybe because I do use it.
